DigiGirls” project, implemented under the IGNITE program by the René Moawad Foundation (RMF) with funding from the Agence Française de Développement (AFD), is a strategic investment in the future of adolescent girls in Tripoli, North Lebanon. Through the creation of a dedicated digital hub at Tajrouba Center in Bab El Ramel, the project directly supports 150 girls aged 10 to 19—including girls with disabilities—by equipping them with essential digital and educational skills. DigiGirls addresses a critical gap in access to quality education and technology, particularly for marginalized girls who are enrolled in school but lack exposure to digital tools and training. The program’s design reflects a strong commitment to inclusion, flexibility, and impact: training sessions are scheduled after school and on weekends to avoid disrupting formal education, while targeted community engagement and capacity-building efforts ensure long-term sustainability. By empowering adolescent girls with the tools to thrive academically and economically, DigiGirls contributes to broader development goals, including gender equality, social cohesion, and inclusive economic growth in vulnerable communities.
